'Betty J.' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Betty J.') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears large, delicate pink, full double blooms in mid to late spring. Plants stay medium in height and bloom prolifically in midseason.

Pairs well with Lilac, Queen of Night tulip, Garlic chives, and Cinnamon fern.
