Notes

'Betty Prior' rose (Rosa 'Betty Prior') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Carmine-pink flowers with white centers bloom from early to late summer and are fragrant. Bees visit the blooms. Basil Edmund Prior bred it in 1934.

Pairs well with Karl Rosenfield peony, Hummelo betony, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Polish Spirit clematis.
