Notes

'Beurre Superfin' pear (Pyrus communis 'Beurre Superfin') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. M. Goubalt bred it in 1844. The tree is grown for fresh eating, and the fruit ripens late in the season. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit the spring blooms.

Pairs well with Apple, Royal Star star magnolia, Woolly yarrow, and Big bluestem.
