Notes

'Big Moon' peony (Paeonia 'Big Moon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, light yellow double flowers open early and can reach 8 inches across. Give it good air flow, since it is prone to leaf fungi in sheltered sites. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Nodding onion.
