Notes
'Blackberry Wine' fumewort (Corydalis 'Blackberry Wine') is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Wine-purple flowers are fragrant and appear in late spring, again in summer, and again in autumn. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 9 to 12 inches tall, so it suits the front of a shady bed.
Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Lady fern, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Autumn fern.
