Notes

'Blanche Elie' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Blanche Elie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is a tall, strong grower with large, fragrant, white bomb-type flowers that open in early summer. The guard petals are clear white, and the center has a creamy tinge. Dr. Frederick G. Brethour bred it.

Pairs well with Garlic chives, Queen of Night tulip, and Fragrant sumac.
