Notes

'Golden Toupee' blue fescue (Festuca glauca 'Golden Toupee') is a clumping grass for borders, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It stays under 9 inches tall and spreads at least 9 inches wide. Greenish white blooms appear in spring and summer, and butterflies visit them.

Pairs well with Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, Blue Star common juniper, and Prairie dropseed.
