Notes

'Blue Moon' woodland phlox (Phlox divaricata 'Blue Moon') is a perennial for shade gardens, ground cover, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Lightly fragrant, pale blue flowers carpet the ground in early to late spring and draw butterflies. It can go semi-dormant after blooming, so interplant it with ferns or hosta.

Pairs well with Snake Eyes hosta, Canadian white violet, and Silver Parrot tulip.
