Notes
'Blue Ribbons' woodland phlox (Phlox divaricata 'Blue Ribbons') is a perennial for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade. Lightly fragrant, pale lavender-blue flowers cover the variegated leaves in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. The plant can go semi-dormant after blooming, so grow it with ferns, hosta, or other ground covers that fill the gap.
Pairs well with First Blush hosta, Western columbine, and Artist tulip.
