Notes

'May Breeze' woodland phlox (Phlox divaricata 'May Breeze') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It carpets the ground with lightly fragrant, white flowers in early to late spring and attracts butterflies. It can go semi-dormant after blooming, so plant it with ferns and hosta to fill the gap. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Foam flower, Obsidian coral bells, and Spring beauty.
