Notes

'Blueberry Sundae' wild indigo (Baptisia 'Blueberry Sundae') is a perennial for borders and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 30 to 36 inches tall and wide, and it tolerates drought. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Indigo blue flowers open in spring and again in summer and attract bees.

Pairs well with Ironweed, Kentucky bluegrass, and Black Parrot tulip.
