Notes
'Bombshell' panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Bombshell') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its white blooms mature to rosy pink and appear from early to late summer. Bees visit the flowers, and the arching shrub grows quickly to 24 to 36 inches tall.
Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Cinnamon fern, and Pink Impression tulip.
