Notes
'Bonnie Bergman' Japanese white pine (Pinus parviflora 'Bonnie Bergman') is a tree for specimen, accent, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows slowly into a dense shape, and the evergreen needles are fragrant. It tolerates drought and salt. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Tree peony, and Mountain mint.
