Notes

'Border King' tulip (Tulipa 'Border King') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows about 12 inches tall and bears red blooms from early to late spring. R. van Lierop bred it, and the flowers draw pollinators.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, and Picture peony.
