Notes
'Borisii' avens (Geum 'Borisii') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Orange flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Nodding onion, Sedge, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
