Notes

'Fireball' avens (Geum 'Fireball') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Sedge, and Queen of Night tulip.
