Notes

'Bronze' leaf fennel (Foeniculum vulgare 'Bronze') is an herb for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its reddish-bronze color adds contrast to a planting. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Indian Summer rudbeckia, Blue wood aster, and Salad burnet.
