Notes

'Kadota' fig (Ficus carica 'Kadota') is a fruit for container growing and the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil. It is grown for fresh eating and dried fruit, and the greenish yellow figs have sweet pink to amber centers. Birds visit the tree too. Fig Newtons cookies are famously made with this fig.

Pairs well with Jasmine, Hummingbird's mint, and Fountain grass.
