Notes
'Buch' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Buch') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. The columnar form fits smaller spaces, and bees and butterflies visit the spring flowers. It is grown for fresh eating, and you need a second cherry nearby for pollination because it is not self-fertile.
Pairs well with American hornbeam, Thalia daffodil, and Claire de Lune peony.
