Notes

'Buckaroo' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Buckaroo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 30 inches tall and bears dark red, Japanese type blooms. The flowers make good cutters. William Henry Krekler bred it in 1978.

Pairs well with Spotted dead nettle, Sedge, and Little Beauty tulip.
