Notes

'Burma Midnight' peony (Paeonia 'Burma Midnight') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears dark red single flowers that are deeper red than those of its parent Burma Ruby. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, PowWow White coneflower, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
