Notes

Bush morning-glory (Ipomoea leptophylla) is a perennial for meadow plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and dry, sandy soil. Several stems arch as they lengthen and form a bushy clump up to 3 feet tall, with large pink to purple funnel-shaped flowers from early to late summer. Unlike garden morning glories, it is not a vine. Its tuber makes it drought tolerant but hard to transplant, so choose its spot with care.

Pairs well with Lead plant, Blue wild rye, and PowWow Wild Berry coneflower.
