Notes

'Buttners Rote' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Buttners Rote') is a columnar tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. The tree blooms from early to late spring, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers. You grow it for eating fresh, but it is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for pollination.

Pairs well with Paul Scherer tulip, Campfire rose, and Bridal Crown daffodil.
