Notes

'Callisto' peony (Paeonia 'Callisto') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its ruffled flowers open baby pink and age to light pink and cream, and the flower stems lean but still hold the blooms off the ground. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Nate Bremer bred it in 2008.

Pairs well with Hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Nodding onion.
