Notes

Camellia (Camellia furfuracea) is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and average moisture. It grows 72 to 108 inches tall and 48 to 84 inches wide, so give it room. The evergreen leaves keep the hedge full all year, and the white flowers are fragrant.

Pairs well with Spice bush, Oregon grape, Sedge, and Begonia.

Native range

Southern China and Vietnam.
