Notes

'Canariensis' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Canariensis') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant cream blooms with a few crimson flecks open in early summer. The stems are long and strong, so the flowers cut well for bouquets.

Pairs well with Columbine, Smooth aster, and Sedge.
