Notes

'Canary Bird' zinnia (Zinnia elegans 'Canary Bird') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and containers. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast, stands upright, and tolerates drought. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Spider flower, Snapdragon, and First Knight fountain grass.
