Notes

'Candy Stripe' cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus 'Candy Stripe') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast into a clumping plant that can reach 59 inches tall, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Ageratum, Hidcote lavender, Franz Schubert garden phlox, and Red fescue.
