Notes

Caraway thyme (Thymus herba-barona) is a perennial for rock gardens, ground cover, borders, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Pink flowers appear from early to late summer and draw bees and butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer. The fragrant evergreen leaves form a creeping mat that stays 3 to 6 inches tall.

Pairs well with Blanket flower, Blue grama, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
