Notes

'Coccineus' mother of thyme (Thymus serpyllum 'Coccineus') is a perennial for borders, containers, ground cover, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Deep pink flowers cover the fragrant, evergreen mats from early to late summer. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with May Night salvia, Nepeta, and Blue grama.
