Notes

'Carisma' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Carisma') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are fluffy and deep reddish-pink. They add rich color to a border and make a bold bouquet when you cut them. Julian L. Janus bred this cultivar.

Pairs well with Patriot hosta, Switchgrass, and Stargazer lily.
