Notes

'Carolina' peony (Paeonia 'Carolina') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, fragrant single flowers are palest pink with a cluster of stamens, and the petals are slightly fluted all round. Charles His bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Blue-eyed grass, Little Lime panicle hydrangea, Pink Impression tulip, and Nelly Moser clematis.
