Notes

'Carrousel' rose (Rosa 'Carrousel') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Carl G. Duehrsen bred it in 1950.

Pairs well with Little Lime panicle hydrangea, Gladiator ornamental onion, Polish Spirit clematis, and Prairie Sun rudbeckia.
