'Cascade' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Cascade') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It stays compact and short, so it fits well near the front of a bed. White Japanese type flowers open in early summer. You can cut the blooms to bring indoors.
Pairs well with Tiger lily, Iris, and Shrub rose.
