Notes

'Castor' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Castor') is a columnar tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Grow it for fresh eating. Bees and butterflies visit its blooms from early to late spring. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for pollination.

Pairs well with Black gum, Mount Hood daffodil, and Gro-Low fragrant sumac.
