Notes

'Cat Whiskers' peony (Paeonia 'Cat Whiskers') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The cup shaped pink flowers are semi double with red flares and measure 5 to 7 inches across. Roger F. Anderson bred it, and the blooms have no fragrance.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Prairie dropseed, Black Parrot tulip, and Ostrich fern.
