Notes
'Guacamole' hosta (Hosta 'Guacamole') is a perennial for borders, containers, shade gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It forms a mounding clump of variegated leaves that spreads wide, so give it room. Lavender flowers are fragrant and draw bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Bigleaf hydrangea, and Astilbe.
