Notes

'Cavendish' strawberry (Fragaria 'Cavendish') is a fruit for food gardens, ground cover, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. White flowers open from early to late spring and again from early to late summer. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bees visit the blooms, and the evergreen plant stays 6 to 9 inches tall.

Pairs well with Lemon balm, Sage, Lime Zinger sedum, and Joan J raspberry.
