Notes

'Cécile Brunner' rose (Rosa 'Cécile Brunner') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist soil of most types. Small, fragrant pink blooms open from hybrid tea style buds and make lovely cut flowers. The canes are almost thornless, and bees and butterflies visit the flowers. C. F. Newman and Sons introduced it in 1894.

Pairs well with Yarrow, Nelly Moser clematis, Ornamental onion, and Blue Mouse Ears hosta.
