Notes
Cedar sage (Salvia roemeriana) is an annual for borders, pollinator gardens, rock gardens, and shade gardens. This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to pass it by. Red flowers open in spring and summer, and hummingbirds and butterflies visit them. Continuous full sun can stress the plant, so give it dappled shade.
Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Japanese forest grass, and Lamb’s ear.
