Notes

'Celia' peony (Paeonia 'Celia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double flowers have a tuft of petals in the center. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Saunders bred it in 1938.

Pairs well with Yarrow, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Nodding onion.
