Notes

'Centennial' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Centennial') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, full double flowers are bright dark pink and open in late spring. The stems are medium height and the foliage is dark green. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1961.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Royal fern, and Miss Kim lilac.
