Notes

'Centennial' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Centennial') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Its columnar habit suits smaller spaces, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers in early to late spring. The cherries are grown for eating fresh and ripen in mid season. Plant a second cherry nearby for pollination, since this one is not self-fertile.

Pairs well with Mount Hood daffodil, Limelight Prime panicle hydrangea, and Paprika yarrow.
