Notes

'Charity' barberry (Berberis hortensis 'Charity') is a shrub for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its evergreen leaves keep the border full all year, and it is fragrant. Birds visit it, and it is drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Oleander, Calla lily, and Lemongrass.
