Notes
'Buckland' barberry (Berberis hortensis 'Buckland') is a shrub for low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It is evergreen and has fragrant flowers. Birds visit it, and it can reach 15 to 20 feet tall and wide, so give it plenty of room.
Pairs well with Stachyurus, Evergold sedge, and Persian violet.
