Notes

'Charlotte Bishop' spring starflower (Ipheion uniflorum 'Charlotte Bishop') is a bulb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clumping, fragrant mat of pink flowers that bees visit. John Clarke bred it.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Japanese forest grass, and Japanese maple.
