Notes

'Cheddar Charm' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Cheddar Charm') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The white blooms have gold centers and a sweet fragrance, and they attract butterflies. Roy G. Klehm bred it in 1985 as a seedling of 'Bowl' of 'Cream'.

Pairs well with Carlton daffodil, Sensitive fern, and Ageratum.
