Notes

'Cheddar Gold' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Cheddar Gold') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant white flowers have a light yellow center and open in early summer. Carl G. Klehm bred it. The stems are stiff and strong, and they reach about 30 inches tall.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Aromatic aster, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Royal fern.
