Notes

'Cheddar Royal' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Cheddar Royal') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears fragrant, flat blooms with rows of white guard petals around a bright gold center in early summer. Stems are strong and reach about 30 inches tall. Roy G. Klehm bred it.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Aromatic aster, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Foxtail barley.
