Notes

'Cherokee Princess' dogwood (Cornus Florida 'Cherokee Princess') is a tree for borders, specimen planting, shade gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White blooms with bright white bracts open in spring, and the leaves turn brick-red in fall. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Warty, gray bark adds interest all year.

Pairs well with Oakleaf hydrangea, Autumn fern, and Rising Sun Texas redbud.
